How to report something on Yanamino
Last updated: 5 November 2026
Use this page if something on Yanamino breaks the law or the Community Guidelines, and you don't have an account, or you can't use the app.
If someone is in danger right now, call the police on 112.
With an account, use the app
It's faster, and you can point at the exact card, page or question:
- tap Report on the item, or Report This Card, Report This Page or Report This Question;
- choose what's wrong, and add a note if it helps.
Without an account, write to us
Write to support@yanami.no. Please include:
- Where it is. Every public deck, lesson or quiz has a code, like D-7K2Q9X (decks start with D, lessons with L, quizzes with Q). Quote it if you have it. Otherwise give its title and its publisher name ("by …"), and, for a group, the group's name. Say which card, page or question, if it's only one part.
- What's wrong, and why. Describe what it shows or says, and which law or which of our guidelines you believe it breaks.
- Your name and email address, so we can tell you what we decide. You don't need to give your name if you're reporting child sexual abuse material.
- This sentence: "I believe in good faith that the information in this notice is accurate and complete."
Never attach pictures, recordings or screenshots. Describe what you saw instead. We can find the item from its code or title.
If it's about you
If an item shows a picture of you, your voice, or your personal details, tell us which item and what part of it, and that it's you. We may ask you to confirm that from the email address you write from. If you're under 18, or you're writing for your child, we always remove it.
If it copies your work
Tell us:
- which of your works it copies, and where yours was published;
- that you hold the rights, or are allowed to act for whoever does;
- which item, and which part of it, copies it.
We tell the maker the name of the rights holder (never your email address), so they can answer.
Child sexual abuse material
Don't copy it, save it, screenshot it or send it to anyone, us included. Tell us only where it is, and we act at once. You can also report it to the police directly: in Norway, to Kripos, through politiet.no; elsewhere, to your own police, or to NCMEC's CyberTipline (report.cybertip.org).
What happens next
- We confirm that we got your notice.
- We look at it as soon as we can, urgent ones first, and act quickly on anything illegal.
- We tell you what we decided, and why, and what you can do if you disagree.
- We never tell the maker who reported. For a copyright notice, they learn only the rights holder's name.
- We keep your email address with the report to answer you, and delete it as our Privacy Policy says.
Reporting something you know is fine, or reporting to harass someone, is against our rules.
